Tiling has been applied in both the gents toilets and the kitchen. Installation of the extraction canopy in the kitchen is imminent. Toilet cubicle door frames and the gents urinal trough are fitted.

Most windows have been painted with the external door frames going in.

The “Bovey Tracey” building in the rear service yard has its corrugated cladding and is being fitted out internally now the floor screed is in place.

The terrace extension formwork is complete and the concrete cast and once cured has allowed the start of laying the brick cladding to match in with the rest of the building.

Repaired speartop fence panels are ready for fitting.

A quantity of GWR chairs have been restored and reupholstered in shell moquette ready for the refreshment room and Arts and Crafts style tables are under construction to provide an authentic heritage feel. Patterns have been made for the production of cast iron table and bench ends based on a GWR design used at Stafford Road works.

Stepping back to the 40s
